Review of The Words (2012) by M Z — 16 Feb 2013
I had some good expectations for this one, but after watching, it's a dissapointment. First of all the story is not that interesting, it's simple really, but it is overdramatized (heavily). During the film I thought maybe it's about the pace also, but the ending made my mind.
The main problem is with a script I think. I didn't really understand Daniella's part, especially in the end, why she was so hurt by the end of a novel ( she just met bestseller author, came to his big apartment, and she's going to teach him some morality?) or Dora, actually was the one, who wanted Rory to let it go and live as an author, but then it's like she changed her mind? Really it's portrayed as a serious, ambitious film, with great actors, but it's just lacks substance.
