Review of The Words (2012) by Julie K — 22 Sep 2012
This film was hit and miss. The premise was a good one but it was executed in an overwrought way--an author reading a story and then the story of the plagarized book inside that is probably too much for most people to care about following.
I also thought the ambiguity about whether Quaid's character was an older version of Cooper's character wasn't necessary. (And the Quaid and Wilde kiss was just a bit creepy.) The performances were good though--LOVE Irons and Barnes.
So three stars.
