Review of The Words (2012) by Roy S — 26 Sep 2012
I enjoyed this one more than the critics, it seems. Perhaps the triple-layered-flashback narrative style had one layer too many, but I had no trouble with it; and the unusual, ambitious (and slightly less than successful) ending required it.
Some found it dull, but I rather enjoyed the pacing. The actors, particularly Irons, do an excellent job with what is admittedly a sometimes hackneyed script. Overall a pleasant, relaxing film.
