Could be me but I really enjoyed this, it's got everybody I like in it (Cooper, Saldana, Olivia Wilde, J.K. Simmons) and everyone acted their ass off. Took me a few moments until it really start pulling me in with the story about Cooper's character finding a lost story that he uses to publish his first book.
Once Jeremy Irons shows up, it started getting really good. I don't know why critics hated this but for me this is a another gem.
