Can you feel sympathy for someone you find repulsive? The Woodsman proves the answer is "yes." Throughout the movie, I felt not only sympathy, but fear for and of, Walter. Although the subject is a difficult one to handle and the creep factor is way up there, I found myself enjoying this movie.
Unlike a lot of Hollywood films, I couldn't figure out how it was going to end.
