Review of The Woodsman (2004) by Michael R — 06 Jun 2007
In an increasingly de-sensitised World, paedophillia could be said to be one of the last truly shocking subject matters for a film to tackle. The Woodsman is especially confrontational, as it looks through the eyes of a convicted child molester and his efforts to reform once released from prison.
Although unnerving and uncomfortable to watch at times, this film is superbly acted, highly thought-provoking and very interesting.
