Review of The Woodsman (2004) by Kays V — 25 Dec 2007
The Woodsman is a fantastic film with amazing performances from even the unexpected. Mos Def? Yeah, he's incredible in this movie, even he does come off drunk in some scenes. However, although this move is amazing it is extraordinarily uncomfortable to watch. A movie where a recovering pedophile is the protagonist usually is. But Kevin Bacon does a good job and makes the character of Walter, a character that you genuinely root for the entire movie but at the same time, he also makes the character someone that you really don't want to like sometimes during the movie. The only way I can describe Walter is a monster with good intentions.
But thats not really a good description. Just watch the movie.
