Review of The Woodsman (2004) by James M — 30 Apr 2010
Might have rated it higher, but I saw an extended version of the park scene with Kevin Bacon and the little girl - the original tone of the scene was KB considering the consequences of such actions, whereas in the film version, it's cut so that he appears to be getting off on describing her abuse - which seems like such a huge difference I wonder how well the writers knew the character, if that makes sense.
--------.
Kevin Bacon is AMAZING in this movie, and the supporting cast is excellent (I'm surprised Hannah Pilkes, who played Robin, didn't go on to have a huge career - she's amazing). Good movie, just that one issue.
