Review of The Woodsman (2004) by Brandon H — 10 Aug 2007
This movie was great. The only problems-- the girl/Kevin interaction was the least believable of the film, and it was really supposed to be the most intense. Also, the "realization" that suddenly changes him at the end is a little bit forced, unrealistic, and cliched. It just comes too easy. Not to mention the fact that he'd meet up with a previously molested girl as the one girl he followed post-jail is a little bit of a coincidence. But the acting from everyone in this movie is wonderful. It's probably my favorite movie with Kevin Bacon in it, or at least up there with Apollo 13. Good stuff.
I rented "The Host" and "The Sea Inside," and "Little Children" should be the next movie sent to the house. :-) Up at my grandparents' house, I will probably be watching "Bagdad Cafe," and that's starting this Monday.
