Review of The Woodsman (2004) by Johnny K — 23 Oct 2008
A solid drama with simple, subtle but effective study of a flawed man who knows his demons and try to overcome them. Walter Rossworth is one of Kevin Bacon's best performance. It is wise no to show the crimes Walter did, which may just demonize the character.
You can connected to Walter and expect to see his redemption. I like the ending of the film which shows an uncertain future of his path to become a 'normal person'. Other characters may suffer little bit of underdevelopment, but the actors who play those characters do quite well (well.
..may be not the mediocre Eve).
