Review of The Woodsman (2004) by Jonathan B — 08 Oct 2007
Kevin Bacon gives a very good, low key performance in a well done film. Still, I felt The Woodsman did not live up to its promise. The director tried to take the movie a little too slow, and rather than building up the mood and characters, it feels a little stale at times.
They also should have pushed the envelope more, since this is such a delicate and controversial topic, I felt they played it a little too safe.
