Review of The Wood (1999) by Corpse M — 11 Jan 2010
(8.9).
The Wood this movie is just great. I myself always enjoy reminiscing about the old times back with my best friends about how we kissed this girl, and I got her number. The wood is about how Roland played by (Tray Diggs) is having all kinds of second thoughts about getting married THREE HOURS before his wedding! Every best friend knows that when your best friend is getting married to a good girl they approve of. If they?re having doubts you got to help them realize it?s not a mistake.
Slim (Richard T. Jones) and Mike (Omar Epps) have to rescue their friend Roland from ruining one of the best things that ever happened to him. In the three hour race to make it to the wedding, these three men find themselves walking directly down memory lane. There past Junior high school experience in 1986 Englewood California. Memories spark more memories that make them recall all the great reasons why they are best friend and why this wedding is the right for Roland. Mike slim and Roland remember the funny things adolescent boys do from bets, girls, and dances. This movie is one of my favorite movies of all times there are a few corny parts and unrealistic scenes but overall the acting was great the movie was funny and they way you feel after the movie is over is simply BLITHE.
I recommend this movie to people who love comedies with a drop of love, adolescent experiences and good old situational, humor the kind that leaves you saying ?know he didn't?.
