Omg this movie is awesome. I wasn’t expecting it. FUN, violent, poignant. Of course, Viola Davis is great, John Boyega is a pleasure to watch, as are the other actors. The score is beautiful, costumes are fabulous.
Storyline is completely different than expected. It was really very good. Do not listen to these negative reviews; they’re mostly by people who never saw the film. Or by racists, or sexists, take your pick.
They all say, "This tribe were slave traders, look it up." Well, yeah...that's what the movie is about, which you'd have known if you'd seen it.
