Review of The Woman King (2022) by Candymancometh — 16 Sep 2022
During the bourgeoise revolution, business owners replaced hierarchical feudalism with a system of individual property rights. This is what eventually ended slavery, not girlboss ethnonationalism. While some U.
S. blacks like Frederick Douglass may have made contributions, wealthy African leaders and nobles such as those depicted in this film contributed absolutely nothing. Africa today remains more feudal than entrepreneurial, to its own great detriment.
But I guess making even a despicable slaver and dictator from history into some BLM femsoldier is all it takes to get good reviews from midwit churnalists. Wakanda isn’t real people, time to grow up and make movies for adults again.
I give it zero because there is zero historically accuracy and zero braincells were used when writing the script.
