Review of The Woman in the Window (1944) by Jeff B — 15 Oct 2007
Warning: movie contains an obnoxious "it was all a dream" ending. As with so many movies from the 40s (under the Hayes Code), just when you think the ending is going to be enjoyably bleak - BAM! - you're hit with a surprise happy ending.
Nevertheless, still a solid noir by Fritz Lang (at least for the first hour and 30 minutes). And, as usual, Edward G. Robinson is entertaining.
