Review of The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death (2014) by Elijah C — 02 Jan 2015
I was a big fan of the first movie back in 2012 but, now they made a sequel that is just plain lazy and bad all around. Let me start off to say that the movie lacked any scares and pizazz! The movie also lacks effort and emotion throughout and I can see right through it that the movie is a straight cash grab.
The movie is way predictable in many of the scenes. The characters are in relatable, clichà (C), and idiotic. But the movie gets it's tone right of gloominess, darkness, and erie felling throughout the movie.
The cinematography was decent at best. And the acting was average. So, what happened?! You had all this potential for this movie to actually be decent. But no the studio of course takes a lazy route and makes a rushed sequel.
Don't get me wrong this is way rushed and looks like the script wasn't finished. I was bored and frustrated throughout the movie because it lacks emotion and charisma. So overall this movie was a major disappointment and I will have to give this a D- grading.
