Review of The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death (2014) by Tracey S — 18 Jan 2015
Obviously, I didn't go see this for high art. I just wanted to see a scary movie. Or sort of scary in this case. (I wish I could see the actual stage show which has been running on the West End since 1989 and is the second longest running play on the West End after Mousetrap.
The play looks much better (and is closer to the original The Woman in Black movie, but still not it). The actors are so genuinely trying in this it's impressive, considering the material they are trying to work with.
It's okay. Not one that is really all that scary, though. Some suspense. I'd prefer the first 3 Paranormal Activities for a scare though.
