Review of The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death (2014) by Brandon W — 08 May 2015
The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death is an all right sequel that is a bit of a disappointment. The acting is fine, and the characters are fine too. The story is actually really good consider that it's by the author Susan Hill.
The scares are not really that effective as they are all jump scares, except for a few. It's not as interesting as it was trying to be, and there are some moments that I seen it before. The soundtrack is creepy though, and the last 10 minutes are the most interesting part of the movie.
My best friend said to me that she likes this movie, and I can see it coming from her point of view. There could've been a good and effective horror film out of this story, but it wasn't executed well with an uninspiring script and jump scares that hides it out for it could've been, even though this is better than some horror sequels these days.
