Has a poor first hour, which you can almost forget about, because the last forty minutes are outstanding. Not to all tastes, this being a horror - although the shocks don't come from where you'd expect.
Turns out to be more of an exploration of the underbelly of the 'normal' family, rather than your usual monster on a killing spree type flick.
