This is an ace kids film! I watched it on Film Four yesterday for about the 5th time and it's still keeps my attention. Ok, so the kids can be annoying and it's not exactly historically accurate, but the villains are ace and the action is non-stop! Richard O'Brian plays a completely different character to what we're used to.
Stephanie Beacham is brilliantly evil, and Mel Smith is, as always, comedy gold. Great to watch on a Sunday afternoon.
