Review of The Wolverine (2013) by Will C — 25 May 2014
It didn't quite feel like an X-men movie (which is why it didn't get 5 stars), but I loved it. It was great in terms of being an action movie that still managed to have a lot of heart. Any Logan/Jean dream sequence is great, and the antagonist ended up being fascinating and unexpected.
I had low expectations after having seen Origins, and this restored my faith in one-offs. Also, I loved the cartoonish antics with Silver Samurai at the end. Also, the post-credits scene is heart-stopping.
