Review of The Wolfpack (2015) by Kyle B — 13 Nov 2015

An interesting documentary about a unique family that lived in crazy circumstances. I really love the energy these guys have and the passion towards the movies. The one brother wrote word for word the scripts of movies by writing them by hand to recreate them with his brothers and sister.

But the wild thing about this movie is how isolated they were. The weren't allowed to leave the house upon their father's demand and the movies are what kept them entertained. Going into this I thought we would see more about their movie recreations but it turns into a really disturbing and deep story about connecting with the world.

It actually has some similarities to Room besides the fact that they are being forced to stay in by their dad and in Room it is a whole other circumstance but they are similar in the reconnection to the world.

I can't imagine someone living in such a glorious place like New York City but only aloud to live there through the sounds and sights from the window. It's really fascinating and I would love for it to be remembered during award season.
