Review of The Wolfpack (2015) by John M — 24 Aug 2015
THE WOLFPACK takes us through seven brothers' lives literally locked into tv film fantasy. Their father "home-educates" them in a NY apartment. They know nobody outside in the cruel urban world. WE learn about their interest in dramatic re-enactments of classic film and tv series. They are almost a copy of "Reservoir Dogs" when they finally break out of the bubble they have grown up in.
This story is too elliptical. We don't learn enough of their battle to find themselves. The conflict or struggle to grow up in the real world is touched upon. The devil and the detail are skimpy. For a collaborative docu we should know the nitty gritty of these seven separate young men and their route into a "normal" life. Interesting but the story must be told in more detail.
