Review of The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) by Aaron G — 16 Jul 2016
The screenplay is nearly as much of a star as Leo is in Scorsese's latest flick. Unfortunately, my damn morals got in the way of me truly embracing what is a well-acted, well-told story. It seems to unapologetically embrace and love this scum of a human being (which is maybe the point?).
That aside, Jonah Hill outshines Leo with his goofily demented bleached-teeth performance. Rob Reiner also shows up to prove that he's not just a great director - he's a dynamite actor.
