Review of The Wolf Man (1941) by Nate W — 06 Jul 2007
Overated Universal movie. It kills me to say these things. The Wolf Man lost my attention thirty minutes into the picture, I'm not a particularly big fan of Lon Chaney Jr, I can hardly compete with 70 and 80s werewolf pictures, and it hasn't contributed much to the horror genre.
Besides the fading werewolf transformation, the werewolf doesn't do a damn thing besides walk around and growl. Claude Rains is the best thing about this movie and Maria Ouspenskaya is just creepy as hell.
Don't fret if you haven't seen this movie, watch the other Universal monster movies first.
