Review of The Wolf Man (1941) by Kenneth B — 22 Oct 2009
The Wolf Man is a seminal werewolf movie (but not the first) which set some of the rules for the many which followed. Lon Chaney Jr, Claude Rains and Maria Ouspenskaya are the standout actors in this atmospheric film.
The romance between Chaney and Evelyn Ankers feels awkward, but otherwise the script and plot are sound and the forest scenes are particularly good.
