Review of The Wizard of Gore (1970) by Luisfelipe Z — 04 Aug 2008
If you watch a HG Lewis movie for anything other than mindless exploitative entertainment, you're barking up the wrong tree entirely.
Laughably bad but somehow entertaining. The best part about his movies is the terrible editting where terrifying orchestral music swells over a scene of gore and torture, until it cuts to a reaction shot when the music vanishes, only to return when it cuts back.
Not up there with his blood trilogy, but funny nonetheless.
