Review of The Witches (1990) by Brett B — 24 Apr 2015
The Roald Dahl novel is one of my favorite books, and this movie completely misses the point of the book with its drastically different ending. The best thing about the movie is Mai Zettering as the grandmother, but she can't save a bad script with bad directing, and a really awful representation of the story.
(Topped off with an incredibly wooden child performance.) Trust me, stick with the book.
