Review of The Witch (2016) by Mack_Fraser — 22 Feb 2016
The Witch is not your typical horror movie. It has more in common with the work of Kubrick and Tarkovsky than the most recent Saw or Paranormal Activities sequel. It's deliberately paced, painstakingly detailed, impeccably researched and more concerned with existential horror than jump scares.
If you are willing to give yourself over to the film, the rewards are great.
