The Witch is truly the most disturbing horror film I have seen in years and I don't say that lightly. the acting is great, the script is amazing and period detail is very authentic. Robert Eggers gives us an incredible writing and directing debut with virtually no jump scares and proves that the best horror films rely on psychology over loud noises and too many special effects.
