Chilling folk horror from first time director Robert Eggars. Ambiguous, thought-provoking and fantastic all in the same turn. Evokes Bergman at his most stark and eerie. My only complaint is the obvious ending which voids all the ambiguity that precedes (but really that's just nitpicking).
