Review of The Witch (2016) by Isadore H — 12 Jun 2016
The Witch is a beautifully shot film about a family that kicked out of their community in early colonial times for religious reasons, and is haunted by a witch. The actors all did a great job not only acting but making the difficult early English easier to understand.
Not the scariest movie ever, tension is slowly built up for the excellent ending in replacement of jump scares. It is a slow burner that many will consider boring, but if given the attention it demands, The Witch is a unique and entertaining film that will most likely bring chills.
