Review of The Wings of Eagles (1957) by David S — 23 Jul 2010
Biopic that doesn't really seem interested in much more than sketching the emotions of Wead's almost non-existent home life. It's focused much more on the relationships he keeps in the Navy, whether that helps the film or not (and it's 50-50 on when it does).
Wayne is fun to watch, but O'Hara is wasted.
