Review of The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Ivan S — 22 Apr 2008
Spectacular performance by Cillian Murphy...but pretty much everyone was terrific. At first it seems this film is a hate message towards Britain's cruel imperialistic domination over North Irish residents.
.. later it turns into something much more jaw-dropping. The split of the IRA leads to civil bloodshed and an absurdly fatal conflict between to brothers, who strayed in opposite directions of fighting for their cause.
Simply put...terrorism is worthless.
