Reading history in a book is not enough for some people because they have little imagination. Some people have to see the horror to understand it. Even though this movie was intense and disturbing, it was nothing compared to what really happened.
It accurately reeked of stubbornness. It's a wonder they ever came to a truce at all, and some still have not. The brutality was hard to watch. There was absolute loyalty and principles behind what happened.
The director could easily do a series instead of trying to cram history into a movie.
