Review of The Wild Bunch (1969) by Jack W — 19 Sep 2009
Just an awesome film. the cinematography is beautiful and the score incredible. in today's film world violence does not shock us but this film was a huge departure for westerns. Never had a western shown so much blood and death.
What I really like though is the portrayal of real characters. The characters are ignorant, dirty, unintelligent and obscene. The way people are, then and now. And what can I say about William Holden? He is just awesome in everything he does.
Why can't people try to make films like this anymore?
