Review of The Wild Bunch (1969) by Ryan W — 19 Apr 2014
Beginning & Ending With Two Of The Bloodiest Battles In Cinema History, Director Sam Peckinpah Has Created An Excellent Western, Which Breaks All The Cliche's & Ruthlessly Destroys The Myths Of The West.
The Film Follows A Group Of Ex-Military, Now Turned Outlaws, As They Head For Mexico After A Failed Payroll Robbery. The Film Stars William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Warren Oates & Robert Ryan. The Cast Give Excellent Performances From It's Great Script, The Cinematography Is Beautiful & The Directorial Skills Of Peckinpah Are On Top Form.
This Is A Great Film Which Showcases The Dying Days Of The West, In The Italian Style, & Has Situated Itself Quite Comfortably As One Of The Greatest Westerns Ever Made.
