Review of The Wild Blue Yonder (2005) by Andrew S — 28 Aug 2007
A brilliant and transcendent Herzog film; one of his great recent outings. The mixture of string sci-fi background and documentary storytelling make this one an unusual hybrid, but in the hands of Werner Herzog it works.
The analysis of space and time travel is sheer genius and the use of music is next to none. But this highly not recommended for anyone not familiar with more art-related films and Werner Herzog's bizarre sense of reality vs.
fiction.
