Review of The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia (2009) by Tuukka P — 23 Sep 2012
Almost a surrealistic documentary about the White family in West Virginia who define what most think of deep South: drugs, violence, robberies and raspy voices. The Knoxville produced film mostly feels like there's no way this is real but I guess you'll have believe it.
We are treated with stories and sights of the titular family in many (illegal) situations and stories about ones in their past. Overall you'll get the feeling that saddly they are proud of the fact about living outside the law (and normal society) and raising the next generation to that mold.
