Well, in addition to poor timing (this film barely hit anyone's radar screen thanks to Madagascar- I mean how many lions do we need escaping from the zoo?) and an animation style that just doesn't connect (both too cartoonish and too realistic, which I didn't think was possible before), The Wild just sort of lacks.
Lacks in relatable characters, in a well told story, and in humor (regardless of age I can't imagine laughing much; not a 5 year old, not a 15 year old, not a 50 year old). That really sums it up, this movie is lacking.
