To say this is one of the greatest film performances I have ever seen is an understatement. My husband feels the same way. Those in the movie theater's ladies room after the film felt the same way.
The audience walking out of the movie felt the same way. I saw The Wife yesterday. I woke this morning still enthralled and moved to my core by the beyond brilliant nuanced performance of Glenn Close.
Much of her acting in this role is non-verbal. Her face and her eyes express every human emotion. If the Academy does not award the Oscar to Glenn Close for this inspired performance in The Wife, they will have failed miserably in their outcome.
This is one of the greatest film performances of all times. Elynne Chaplik-Aleskow, Author of My Gift of Now.
