Why, why, why did anyone think it would be a good idea to remake a film whose entire charm is its age and originality- this isn't just a pointless remake, it's an awful awful film, and not even Sobieski's presence can justify its existence.
You honestly will not believe how a remake so loyal to the plot of a fantastic original can be quite so unwatchable...
