Review of The Wicker Man (2006) by Matthew N — 23 Jun 2010
The original was so much better and creepier. I think it's because it had underlying social commentary. Changing the setting to California was the first mistake. Casting the god-awful Nicolas Cage and the one-dimensional Leelee Sobieski was the other.
This one was a just explanation-less film driven by the director's misinterpretation of tradition and religion.
