Review of The Wicker Man (2006) by Kyle L — 18 Feb 2011
Another remake that is just dumb and not even scary for one reason and it is really slow and it is also a movie that wastes peoples time. This updated version of the Wicker Man wasn't good at all it was just an unintensional comedy filled with some dumb acting and not even filled with scares.
The remake basically has the same story as the original but I don't consider this as a good remake and here are some reasons. First of all the trailer of this film was really well made and I even wanted to watch it but when I saw it in the cinemas I was extremely angry and disappointed.
Second I didn't like the acting for one reason Nicolas Cage wasn't doing good with his acting in this remake and he was even worse at the scene when he said not the bees. Third the movie itself is a waste of more than two hours the film itself is slow and boring.
Forth Director Neil Labute ruined the film and I wasn't happy with it. And fifth there are no scares in the film itself it was more of an unintentional comedy than a horror film which was incredibly dumb.
There was nothing surprising with the remake and it was a really bad remake. don't watch this film for one reason and avoid it as well because the film itself is slow and boring. I would give this film a 2/10 because there are no scares in it.
The story is fine but the climax of the film is slow and boring. And the acting was really bad fo one reason. Go for the 1973 classic than this piece of garbage. I'm even glad that this remake won a razzie award for one reason it's even better to nominate these films that aren't as good as the original but there are some remakes that are good.
