Of course nowhere close to the original, but I believe that it wasn't as bad an attempt as everyone says. It brings up plenty of interesting ideas, never quite using them to their full extent, but at least trying something different from the original.
But I mean, in the end, aren't we all just looking for entertainment and some of the outrageous scenes and Cage's legendary performance give it to us with a punch, literally.
