Review of The Wicker Man (2006) by Graeme E — 21 Jan 2014
This movie flat out fails at what it claims to be, but succeeds in other ways that stop it from being another piece of roadkill on the remake highway. The movie is well shot and well acted, at least on Nicholas Cage's part.
The problem with the movie though, could also be considered it's greatest strength. The script is completely idiotic from the opening scene all the way to the end credits, making this movie full of moments where I was laughing out loud because none of it made any sense.
Definitely worth watching only to witness one of the worst plots in recent memory.
