Review of The Wicker Man (1973) by Francisco G — 07 Apr 2012
The Wicker Man is a True British Horror Classic! It combines genres of Murder Mystery, Folk Musical and Horror for a truley intellegent and rememberable film. The Soundtrack is one of the most amazing soundtracks in the history of cinema hauntingly unforgettable.
Edward Woodward is marvelous as the Officer Howie who we stay with for the entire film truely feeling his conflicts and eerieness of the Village with a secret. Christopher Lee is the big one, playing Lord Summer Isle in amazing fashion thats unforgettable on all levels, considering this his finest piece of work.
Nothing will prepare the viewer for the shock ending thats nightmarish and will stay forever in their mind. If you haven't seen this film Please do! your life requires it for high recomendations. Not even a God-Awful US remake could overshadow this Masterpiece, thats still relevent today and deserves every bit of its Cult following.
