Review of The Whole Ten Yards (2004) by Kevin C — 18 Oct 2010
"Analyze That" effectively ruined what was an original idea in "Analyze This!"; the difference here is that "The Whole Nine Yards" wasn't even that good to begin with.
This uninspiring, unfunny sequel illustrates the perfunctory thinking that plaques contemporary Hollywood: Some exec sees a script on his desk titled "The Whole Nine Yards" and immediately thinks, Hey we could call the sequel "The Whole Ten Yards"! It might turn a profit in the short-term, but this mentality almost killed Disney's motion picture arm (e.
G. "Angels in the Outfield"/"Angels in the Endzone"). Bruce Willis seems to be the only actor in this film whose career made it out alive. But hey, I'm sure there's plenty of work in the direct-to-video market.
