Review of The Whistleblower (2010) by Mark N — 05 Apr 2012
Worthy, if depressing, movie about Bosnia peacekeeping forces. Weisz brings an identifiable character for us to follow, even if her american accent wavers and the moral authority is pretty unsubtle. Thought-provoking.
. yes but any human being who reads or watches TV should be way ahead of the movie from the start. What ruins it is the constant wobble of the camera in every single scene. Handheld cam is fine for urgency and emotion but in static shots it is noticeable and highly detracting from the scene.
