Review of The Whistleblower (2010) by Daniel A — 20 Sep 2011
Well-meaning but sadly conventional drama based on the true story of people-trafficking in Bosnia by US and UN diplomats. Though the subject matter is important and a potentially interesting movie topic, writer-director Larysa Kondracki's approach to the material is disappointingly uninspired and translates to a rather dull and lifeless film.
Rachel Weiss is admirable in the lead role, and provides the number one reason to bother watching it, however it's still not enough to see The Whistleblower get past its overriding faults.
